Ashokta Tarnacha

In a world often dominated by fast-paced trends and self-centred pursuits, it’s a breath of fresh air to come across individuals who embody the true essence of selflessness and compassion. Ashokta Tarnacha, a retired teacher following the legacy of a real teacher by choosing not to retire her passion for teaching. Instead, she redirected it towards a noble cause. Every day, she selflessly devotes her time and energy to impart knowledge, life skills and values to underprivileged children who might otherwise be deprived of quality education.

For the past eight months, Ashokta ma’am has been dedicating her time and expertise to provide free classes for children who would otherwise be left without access to quality education. With her gentle demeanour and unwavering commitment, she has managed to touch the lives of these children in profound ways.

From the moment she stepped into the makeshift classroom, her humility and soft-spoken nature left an indelible mark. On her very first day, she addressed her young learners with the words, “Dheere baat karni chahiye, pyaar se,” which translates to “We should speak slowly and with love.” These simple words became the guiding principle of her classes, setting the tone for an environment of patience and empathy.

Each day, Ashokta ma’am immerses herself in the lives of her students, helping them not just with the academic curriculum but also with cultivating good habits and values. With a firm belief that education is not solely about textbooks, she encourages her students to read, write, and engage in creative activities that stimulate their minds. Through her gentle guidance, she is instilling a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

They can be found in the hearts of individuals like Ashokta Ma’am, who, in their retirement, continue to illuminate the path of knowledge and inspire generations. We are indeed fortunate to have teachers and team members like her, who remind us that education is a force that can transform lives and society for the better. Thank you, Ashokta Ma’am, for being a true inspiration and a beacon of hope in our world.
